360° rebrand for a conservation-focused rare breeds & wildlife farm in the heart of Buckinghamshire.

Launched in 2014 as ‘Green Dragon Eco Farm & Rare Breeds Centre’, this conservation-focused farm park regularly attracted local families and schools, though were struggling to reach their full potential in terms of conservation education & ticketing opportunities.

Whilst visitors enjoyed the farm, the brand’s visual identity didn’t communicate the nature of the business nor was it reflective of the visitor experience.
The new owners felt they could be doing more to inspire care and drive awareness for British rare breeds and European wildlife whilst positioning the farm as a fun day out.

Good by Design were commissioned to develop a 360-degree rebrand including brand strategy, visual identity, naming and brand activation to help them redefine what a progressive farm park could be - a space to build memories, with the freedom to explore & have adventures, encouraging a connection with nature and inspiring local change for a happier, healthier future.

The brand needed a distinctive look & feel - many of their competitors were using acid colour palettes, childish fonts & cartoonish brand mascots

Inspired by the brand’s commitment to outdoor hands-on learning and creating memories, we combined hand-drawn type and a rich colour palette, drawing on vintage camp paraphernalia.

We created & incorporated branded flags, bunting, embroidered patches and wooden signposts, all to create a nostalgic sense of fun through hand-drawn, irregular illustrations - never using harsh lines - all to evoke a friendly sense of childlike fun and outdoor adventure, whilst creating a visual point of difference from their competitors.

As a part of the brand rollout, we helped their team to implement new signage & marketing materials, staff uniforms, a new website & social assets.

Client Feedback

We could not have enjoyed working with Good by Design more! They are so systematic and diligent in their approach and made the whole process feel like an exciting journey, where each week we saw our brand coming to life. 

We inherited a brand that we didn't like or connect with. It didn't communicate the nature/essence of the business well and there was no clear strategy. It had no continuity and there were no clear brand guidelines - the logo had many different styles and we were using multiple fonts and colours across different platforms.

The Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife re-brand is brilliant and we have had a huge amount of great feedback. We now have a beautiful brand with clear brand guidelines that makes our marketing strategy much easier.
