CLOTH COLLECTIVE

Strategy | Identity | Naming | Copywriting | Website

Branding a contemporary British dye house on a mission to change the textile industry for the better.

Cloth began life in 2016 as CLJ Home, having undergone transformative change in the way they create & design their product, there was now an emphasis on sourcing sustainable fibres and using natural dyes to produce healthier textiles created in an environmentally conscious way.

From strategy to design, we carefully crafted their brand to shift the perception of natural dyeing from ‘hippy and cottagey’, and reposition the practice as contemporary, natural & low-key luxury - positioning them as ‘alchemists of natural colour’.

The high-contrast serif has a clean yet traditional feel which is softened by the use of lowercase.

Everything about this logo breathes.

The circular icon is infinite and organic, echoing the circular economy that Cloth practices.

Subtly encompassed within the icon, are the initials, ‘CLJ’ - a subtle nod to the brand’s founder.
